As the fourth quarter of 2023 came to a close, Sensor Tower's data provided a clear picture of the Film & Television app landscape on Android devices across Latin America. Here's a look at how the top contenders fared in this competitive market.

Globoplay: Assista ao BBB 24!, the Brazilian streaming service, observed a fluctuating revenue trend, with a peak of $543K in early December before dipping to $295K at the end of the month. Downloads saw an upward trend in October, reaching 292K, but subsequently declined to 142K by the year's end. The app experienced its highest weekly active users at over 5M in late October, with a downward trend to 4.1M by December 25.

The American powerhouse HBO Max: Stream TV & Movies maintained a stable revenue performance, hovering around the $400K-$450K mark throughout the quarter. Downloads peaked at 529K in late October and saw a slight dip to 452K by the holiday season. The app's weekly active users displayed an impressive trajectory, starting at 5.4M and climbing to over 6M by the quarter's end.

Disney+ also showed consistent revenue, staying between $381K and $486K. The platform's downloads experienced a peak of 767K in early November, followed by a gradual decrease to 475K. Despite this, weekly active users increased, kicking off at 7M and soaring to over 8M by Christmas.

The app's active users showed an upward trend, starting at around 2.9M and growing to over 3.2M in the final week of December.

Lastly, Star+ had revenues that stayed within the $175K-$211K range. Downloads saw a high of 490K in late October, declining to 365K by the end of December. In contrast, weekly active users presented a remarkable growth from 8.6M to over 8.1M, marking a strong finish to the quarter.
